Introduction to myself

My name is Daniel Pacheco, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management. I work in the construction field as a concrete finisher, a role I find fascinating, which is why I’m leaning toward a future in construction. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, which is my main hobby. I shoot with a Canon AE-1, a 35mm film camera. I also love traveling—I recently explored the West Coast, and I’m planning to visit the East Coast next, with New York on the itinerary. I chose this IS101 class because my Saturdays are free, and I’ve heard great things about Mr. Albert. I appreciate having a professor who is interactive and genuinely encourages students to do their best. I’m glad I picked this course, as I’m looking forward to improving my computer skills, which is an area where I feel I could use some growth.

  2. Hi Daniel! I also love traveling, my most recent trip was out to Chicago with a few friends. We plan on traveling to Japan and Korea sometime in 2026. What's been the favorite place you've visited so far?

  5. Hi Daniel,
I also enjoy photography but have always been more into video production. Unfortunately, I no longer have a camera but would definitely l have to pick up my hobby again sometime in the future once I have gained a job with my degree.
Travelling to New York has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember because, that's where both of my parents were raised. I have heard many stories and have always wondered what it would look like during all of the four seasons. I know that I may not live there one day, but I would love to travel into the city more than once.
Thank you for your blog, and I cant wait to tune in more!

  11. Hi Daniel, I used to be in construction before my accident. I was In tile and brick setting working as a helper. I had fun working with everyone, but started off very hard in the beginning because people there just thought I landed the job because of my dad. Which is true, because he was the super attendant. But they tipped their hat off to me because they seen how hard I was busting my butt out there.

  13. Hello Daniel, my dad used to work construction so I've grown up all around tools and what not. It's pretty satisficing because you can look at what you helped make and think to yourself I did that.

  16. Hi Daniel, I have been to New York and it is an amazing place to go. Going to all the touristic places is amazing but I would also recommend enjoying the city as in riding the subway and having 3 dollar pizza slices at the delis. One thing is seeing the city and another one is living a day in the city!
